세컨드라이프....

이미 2000년에 한국에서 다다월드를 통해 가상세계에 대한 개념과 기술적 접근을 했었다.

그러다가 벤처붐이 꺼지면서... 이런 특이한 사업의 시대는 가고 평범했다가...다시 세컨드라이프를 통해 가상세계에 발을 들였다.

지금 이 사진의 장소는 한국거리부터 다양하다.

한국거리. 코리아타운에 특히 아바타들이 많았다. 기본적으로 방문하는 곳이었다.

가끔 이렇게 모여서 단체로 춤을 추는 사람들도 보게 되었다. 조금 정신병자 같다는 생각도 들었다. 실제로 아바타가 너무 충격적이어서 미친놈이라고 표현하는게 옳다는 생각도 했었다.

여기는 한국외대던가? 고려대던가? 아뭏든 2개학교가 대학캠퍼스를 세컨드라이프에 만들어놓고 있었다.

그 학교들을 돌아다니면서 IT의 미래 수업에서 학생들과 다양한 가상세계 경험을 했다.

수업도 수업시간이 아닌, 밤 11시에 온라인에서 했었다. ㅎㅎㅎ 재밌는 수업이었다.

이건 아마 한국외대캠퍼스일텐데.... 기억이 가물가물...

여기선 백팩, 모자, 옷 등이 공짜여서...학생들에게 맘대로 입어보고 가지라고 했던 기억이 있다.

다른 대학교 강의실에 모여서 수업도 했었다. 물론 효율성은 지극히 낮았다. 그러나 새로운 방식을 도입하고 학생들에게 실행해보게 하는 것은 가치가 있다고 생각했다.

세컨트라이프가 VR등과 결합해서 보다 현실적인 형태로 나타날 것이라 예상한다.

그때쯤이면 나도 가상세계에 살고 있을까???

ps : 한국엔 2000년에 다다월드 라는 가상세계가 이미 있었다는 것을 기억하자.

Second life ....

In 2000, I had a conceptual and technological approach to the virtual world in Korea through the Tada World.

Then the venture boom went out ... The era of this unusual business went on and on, and then, through Second Life, I stepped into the virtual world.

Now the location of this photo varies from Korean streets.

Korean street. There were many avatars in Koreatown. It was basically a place to visit.

Sometimes I see people gathering like this and dancing in groups. I thought I was a bit psychotic. I actually thought that it was right to express that the avatar was so shocking that it was a crazy person.

Is this here in Korea? Do you think? At any rate, two schools were making a college campus in Second Life.

I traveled around the schools and had various virtual world experiences with students in IT future classes.

Classes were held online at 11 pm, not class time. It was a fun lesson.

This is probably the campus of the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.

Here, backpacks, hats, clothes, etc. are free, and I remember asking the students to wear them.

I gathered in classrooms in other universities and had classes. Of course, the efficiency was extremely low. But I thought it worth it to introduce a new approach and let students do it.

It is expected that Second Life will become more realistic in combination with VR.

By that time, do I live in a virtual world too?
