PVC는 잘 붙고 부드럽게 하기 위해 가소제와 안정제가 첨가물로 쓰인다. 가소제는 인체에 해로우며 특히 기름기가 많은 음식에 닿으면 바로 흡수된다. 더욱이 가소제는 실온에서도 식품에 닿으면 냉동 냉장 상태보다 더 잘 유출된다는 것이 전문가들의 이야기이다
