아마존 창고를 책임지는 로봇 짐꾼 ‘키바’

美 캘리포니아 트레이시에 설치된 아마존 물류센터 안에서는 물품이 담긴 선반을 옮기는 ‘키바 로봇’이 3천 대나 활약중이다. 키바 로봇의 역할과 업무 수행 능력을 소개한다.

키바 로봇은 320kg짜리 선반을 통째로 들어올려 시속 6.4km로 옮길 수 있다. 사람이 움직이는 대신 선반을 사람 앞에 가져다 움직이면서 업무 효율도 20%나 높아졌다.
