Is Songkran a lawless festival, and is rude behavior acceptable?


There are people spraying water.

Normally, when you make eye contact... and when necessary... and indicate not to spray water, they usually pretend to spray water or do not spray water.

But...on the afternoon of today, April 18, 2024

On the way to Pattaya 2nd Road... (right side of the road between Avenue Pattaya and Central Festival)

Because I was holding a camera that was sensitive to water, and my bag had a tablet, paper documents, and books...

I gave clear instructions not to throw water on me.

Then... the rude Western old man seen in the picture... didn't shoot water from the front...

As I turned my back and continued on my way, water was sprayed at my back.

It was a cowardly act and a very rude one.

When I object, they shout Songkran.

Is it a Songkran tradition to cowardly shoot someone in the back?

While I was arguing with the rude old man and pointing fingers, a Thai woman in the photo who appeared to be an employee of the store suddenly poured water on my back.

He chased after me three times...repeatedly...

This is not a form of festival play... it is an "obvious act of violence."

I hope they investigate and decide whether to punish the violent act.

 
송크란은 무법지대이고, 무례한 행위가 용납되는 축제인가?


물을 뿌려대는 사람들이 있지만.

통상적으로 눈을 마주치면서... 필요에 의해서...물을 뿌리지 말라는 표시를 하면 보통은 살짝 뿌리는 척을 하거나 뿌리지 않는다.

그런데...오늘 2024년 4월 18일 오후에 

파타야 2선도로를 가는 도중에...(애비뉴파타야와 센트럴페스티발 사이의 도로 우측)

내가 물에 민감한 카메라를 들고 있고, 가방에는 태블릿, 종이서류, 그리고 책이 있었기에...

나에게 물을 뿌리지 말라는 명확한 표현을 전했다.

그랬더니..사진에서 보이는 무례한 서양노인네가..정면에서는 물을 쏘지 않더니...

내가 등을 돌리고 계속 가던길을 가자...등뒤에서 물을 쏴댔다. 

비겁한 행위이고 매우 무례한 행위를 했다.

이의를 제기하니..쏭크란을 외친다. 

등뒤에서 비겁하게 쏘는게 쏭크란의 전통인가? 

그 무례한 서양 노인네와 말싸움에 손가락질로 싸우는 중에..갑자기 그 가게직원인듯한 사진에 보이는 태국여자가 내 등에 바가지로 물을 퍼부었다.

그것도 쫓아와서까지 3번이나...반복해서....

이건 축제의 놀이형태가 아니라..."명백한 폭력행위"이다.

따라서...

파타야 관광경찰은...

이 두사람을 (사진첨부)

조사해서 폭력행위에 대한 처벌여부를 판단하기를 바란다.
