베카의 전사들...썸오브올피어스

대학교때 '베카의 전사들'이란 책으로 읽었던 기억이 있는데... 원래 제목과 영화 제목은 썸오브올피어스 이다.

이 소설은 탐클랜시 라는 걸출한 전문작가가 쓴 소설이다.

이 소설 그리고 영화를 제대로 이해하려면, 군사지식도 조금 필요하고,,,

특히 몇차례에 걸친 중동전에 대한 지식이 있어야 한다.

당시 이스라엘군은 F-4와 A-4 를 주로 운영하고 있었는데...

그리고 미국의 핵무기를 보유하고 있었는데... 이것을 사용하려다가 베카계곡에 떨어뜨린 것에서 시작한다.

이를 이용해서 미국과 러시아의 상호보복공격을 유도하려는 자가 있었고, 결론대로 극적으로 멈추게 된다.

물론 그 상황에 이르기 위해 볼티모어에서 핵폭탄이 터진다.

이후 신속하게 다음 단계인 미국 항공모함에 대한 저고도 미사일 공격이 감행되고, 이로써 확전상황으로 전개된다.

물론 잭 라이언이 정확한 정보기반으로 문제해결을 시작한다.

만약 정확한 정보의 공유가 안되었다면...

이런 상황이 현실이 된다면,

대한민국은 어떤 포지셔닝에 들어가며, 어떤 대응을 해야 할까?

위기일까? 기회일까?

911테러라고 호칭되는 미국의 내국인에 대한 글로벌 사기극은 이 영화에서 말한 정도의 외부공격행위가 아니다.

그저 부시정부와 그 뒤의 존재들이 만든 사기사건일뿐...

조만간 이런 위기가 현실화 될 가능성은 계속 높아지고 있다.

이유는 아주 간단하다. 지구상의 인류의 삶이 갈수록 빡빡해지고 있기 때문이다.

단지 삼시세끼를 못먹어서 발생하는 것이 아니라, 상대적 빈곤 때문이다.

상대적 빈곤이라는 사회적 문제가 이를 보다 상위의 개념으로 포장한 폭력으로 변환될 가능성은 충분히 높다고 생각한다. 

그래서 기득권집단을 인류를 멍청하게 만들려고 노력할 수도 있다. 

한국이라는 사회공동체는 지정학적으로 언제나 경계선에 있다. 그 문제를 완전하게 해결하는 방법은 있으나, 그 준비는 부족한 것이 현실이다. 

경제력과 군사력이 동시에 있어야 하는데...아직 절대값에 도달하지 못했다.

만약 영화와 같은 상황이 기회로 찾아온다면, 대한민국은 가차없이 일본을 제거해야 한다. 일본을 완전하게 소멸시키면 우리는 협상의 기회가 생긴다. 그렇지 않다면, 우리는 체스판의 소모품이 될 가능성이 높다.

지금 이 글이 너무 추상적으로 들리겠으나, 현실화 되면, 이보다 현실적인 말이 없을 것이다.
